Congratulations! Anike Foundation received a Humanitarian Award at the 2017 D&Ksuomi Humanitarian Awards/International Women’s Conference on August 25 and 26, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.

D&Ksuomi selected Anike Foundation as a recipient of their Best Humanitarian Award for 2017. This honorary award was established to commend contributions and commitment of those who have made a difference in the lives of others through their work. Anike Foundation has certainly done this! Their goal to contribute to the improvement of education and, thereby, reduction of poverty in Africa is inspiring. Their passion and commitment specifically towards the development of women and young girls’ empowerment was brought to the attention of D&Ksuomi, and their hard work was recognized and celebrated publicly at the D&Ksuomi Humanitarian Awards/International Women Conference.

D&Ksuomi Foundation works to alleviate the struggles of African women and young girls by empowering them with resources (i.e. internet, workshops, mentoring programs) and needed guidance. This helps women gain instrumental tools and support to escape poverty stricken circumstances.

The 2017 International Women’s Conference also focused on the change and growth of women. The conference reflected upon issues from the woman’s perspective and provided training on different tools to implement in their own professional lives and empower them to make a difference in the lives of others. The goal of the conference was to educate and inspire the participants to apply new concepts and practical tips and solutions in their work with women. This will hopefully help to eradicate poverty-stricken situations and stop domestic and family violence. The partnerships of non-profit organizations at the conference were there to unite and empower the masses.

Anike Foundation was excited to be a part of such a significant event.
