Mtende Homecraft Foundation (MHF), a Malawian non-profit organization, recently partnered with Anike Foundation to support more than 1,400 learners in four primary schools. Organized in 2004, MHF seeks to improve the livelihood of vulnerable rural communities through a holistic and faith-based approach. With its charitable efforts, Mtende assists in developing a well-informed and self-sustainable community that enables better rural livelihood.

MHF and Anike Foundation had planned to deliver school supplies, including exercise books, pens, rulers, and pencils, to 1,000 students in three primary schools that they had identified in early 2020. However, following a Malawian government directive to close schools due to COVID-19 pandemic, the project was put on hold.

Upon the easing of government restrictions in October 2020, and with financial support from Anike Foundation, educational materials were purchased and distributed, benefitting 1,426 primary school students in four schools: Phoka, Junju, Mwanani and Livingstonia Primary Schools, with 405, 375, 128 and 518 students respectively.
