Introduction
In our continued effort to educate the world about Africa, from time-to-time, we will be bringing you authentic stories from budding African writers.
“Dunia Haina Huruma” is a serial story by Amos Kirigwi, a student at Jomo Kenyatta University in Kenya. The story is from the perspective of a young woman named Aleena, who struggles with unexpected news regarding her husband. While the premise of the story is built upon the idea that there is a lack of mercy and compassion in this world, Aleena exhibits both in abundance. Throughout the first part of this story, though she struggles with the state of her heart, she manages to take the reader on an intimate journey with the strength of her resolve. The story will be delivered in sequential installments. Following are Parts One and Two.
